Refund and Return Policy

Important: Licensed Access is Non-Refundable
Bytora Tech offers licensed access to hosted software, not physical products. Once access is granted, the service has been rendered and is non-refundable.
Why No Refunds After Access?
Your license fee includes:
- Hosting infrastructure (costs incurred immediately)
- Backups, security, and maintenance (ongoing services)
- Support tier access (available from day one)
These services cannot be "returned" once delivered.
When Refunds Are Available
Pre-Access Cancellation Only
Refunds are available ONLY if ALL of the following are true:
- ✓ You cancel within 24 hours of purchase
- ✓ Login credentials have NOT been provided
- ✓ Setup/onboarding has NOT begun
- ✓ No access to the software has been granted
Refund amount: Full payment minus payment processing fees (typically 3-5%)
How to Request Pre-Access Refund
- Email support@bytora.com within 24 hours of purchase
- Subject line: "Cancellation Request - Order #[NUMBER]"
- Include: Order number, payment date, reason
- Refund processed within 5-10 business days
Important: Refund requests do NOT entitle you to damages, lost profits, or consequential damages. Refunds are limited to the amount paid, minus processing fees.
When Refunds Are NOT Available
❌ No Refunds For:
After Access Granted
- Once login credentials are provided
- Once license key is activated
- Once setup or onboarding begins
- After 24 hours from purchase (even if no access yet)
Renewals
- Renewal payments are non-refundable once the new license period begins
- If you don't wish to renew, simply don't pay the renewal invoice
Mid-Term Cancellations
- You may cancel anytime, but no refund for unused time
- Service continues until end of paid term
Downgrades
- Plan downgrades take effect at renewal
- No prorated refunds for downgrading mid-term
Downtime or Performance Issues
- Service interruptions do not entitle refunds
- Business plan customers may receive SLA credits (NOT cash refunds)
- Maximum credit: 25% of quarterly license fee
Dissatisfaction or Change of Mind
- "I don't like it" or "I changed my mind" are not valid refund reasons after access granted
- Consider our 14-day trial before purchasing (contact sales)
Force Majeure
- Outages due to circumstances beyond our control (hosting provider failures, natural disasters, etc.)
Plan Changes and Upgrades
Upgrading Mid-Term
You may upgrade anytime. You'll pay the prorated difference for remaining term.
Example:
- You have 6 months left on Starter ($340/year = $170 for 6 months)
- You upgrade to Professional ($700/year = $350 for 6 months)
- You pay: $350 - $170 = $180
- New plan active immediately
Downgrading
Downgrades take effect at renewal, not mid-term. No refunds or credits for downgrades.
Data Retention After Cancellation
If You Cancel or Don't Renew:
- Expiry date: Access suspended, data retained
- 30-day window: Export your data (your responsibility)
- After 30 days: Data permanently deleted
How to Export Data:
Email support@bytora.com with subject "Data Export Request"
Include: Account email, license number
Processing time: 2-5 business days
Formats available: CSV, JSON, SQL dump
Disputes and Chargebacks
Please Contact Us First
Before filing a chargeback or dispute with your bank:
- Email support@bytora.com with your concern
- We'll work with you to resolve the issue
- Most disputes can be resolved quickly
Chargeback Consequences
Filing a chargeback may result in:
- Immediate suspension of access
- Permanent account termination
- Loss of data (no 30-day grace period)
- Legal action to recover costs and damages
Chargebacks do not guarantee refunds — your bank will investigate and may deny your claim.
Exceptions (At Our Discretion)
We may make exceptions in rare cases:
- Technical errors on our part (e.g., charged wrong amount)
- Product defects that cannot be fixed
- Service not delivered as described (verifiable)

Limitation of Liability (Refund Context)
Even if you receive a refund, our liability is limited to the refund amount. We are NOT liable for consequential damages, lost profits, lost business, or any other indirect damages.
Maximum refund liability = amount you paid, minus processing fees. Nothing more.
Governing Law
This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of Jamaica. Any disputes must be brought in the courts of Kingston, Jamaica.
